Make a Cranberry Christmas Wreath

You will need: wire or grapevine wreath, fresh cranberries, glue, baby's breath and satin ribbon or fabric

1. Shape the 18 gauge wire into a circle of the desired size. String fresh cranberries tightly onto the wire (they will shrink considerably). Air-dry flat in a very warm, dry place. It will take a week or more for fruit to dry.

2. Insert a hanging wire or thread and hot glue ends together. Adorn with babies breath and 1/2 inch ribbon or fabric strips to make a bow. You could also dot the wreath with Cranberry oil.

Make Cranberry and Popcorn Garland

Garland is beautiful on a mantel or twined around stair pillars, as well as a festive touch for the Christmas tree.

  • Popped popcorn
  • Cranberries
  • Needle and thread

Directions:

1. Place the popped popcorn in a bowl and the cranberries in another bowl. The cranberries should be hard and not frozen.

2. Thread a needle that will easily go through the popcorn and cranberries. You may wish to wear a thimble on your finger.

3. Thread the needle through five or ten popcorns and then thread on a cranberry and continue with the popcorn and then a cranberry. Choose your own design with the cranberries and popcorn.

4. Wrap the garland around the Christmas tree and other areas.

The popcorn or cranberries will not be edible for the family but keep the garland  and let the birds enjoy the spirit of Christmas. The birds will flock to your front garden to eat all the cranberries and popcorn.
